Limitations and Next Steps

What this Quarto version supports

  • Static reproducible analysis.
  • GitHub Pages deployment.
  • Transparent R pipeline.
  • Precomputed network plots, summaries, ranking, inconsistency outputs.
  • Documented node-merging sensitivity scenarios.

What should remain in Shiny or a server-backed app

  • User uploads.
  • Persistent version history.
  • Saving user-specific analysis states.
  • Full app-like workflow with sessions and database storage.

Main technical risk

The main uncertainty for browser-side execution is whether netmeta, its dependencies, and plotting functions run reliably inside webR/WebAssembly. Therefore, the initial Quarto version should be static and reproducible; live browser-side modules should be added only after a minimal netmeta proof of concept succeeds.
